Itinerary
Day 01
Proceed to your Negombo accommodation where you can unwind with your loved ones.
Day 02
Set out on a Negombo town tour, visiting colourful religious buildings and stunning beaches. Travel to Sigiriya and help the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which is a great place to see orphaned baby elephants.
Day 03
Begin the morning by climbing Sigiriya Rock, Sri Lanka's most popular visitor attraction. The well-known large lion paws guard the stairs to the summit, which previously housed the monarch's palace. In the afternoon, explore Polonnaruwa town, which contains historic ruins from the island's incredible past.
Day 04
Visit Anuradhapura the country’s first-ever historic capital. Throughout its more than millennium-long rule, the kingdom was ruled by 117 different kings who built magnificent palaces beautiful gardens irrigation systems and Buddhist temples. In the afternoon enjoy a thrilling jeep safari in Minneriya National Park which is known for having the world's largest seasonal elephant gathering.
Day 05
Transfer to Kandy and explore the Dambulla cave temple, which is UNESCO-listed and 2000 years ancient. The partitions and ceilings of the five caves here are decorated with centuries-old works of art. Later, go for an interesting tour on a spice lawn in Matale.
Day 06
Take a city tour of Kandy, where the lively city provides excellent shopping opportunities. Shops ranging from gems to batiks, wood carvings, and silk sell a variety of Sri Lankan-specific goods. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, then in the evening, enjoy a cultural show followed by a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Day 07
Settle back and enjoy the breathtaking views of endless verdant tea fields as you approach Nuwara Eliya the hill country situated 1800 meters above sea level. Whilst travelling make a stop to visit a tea factory and catch a glimpse of the stunning Ramboda Falls. When you visit the manufacturing unit outlet you will also be able to buy factory sparkling tea. Take a Nuwara Eliya city tour in the afternoon.
Day 08
Visit Hortain Plains, Sri Lanka's sole World Heritage Site and a popular hiking destination. Witness the main attractions, including Baker's Falls and World's End. Discover the other iconic destinations in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 09
This morning, board a picturesque train going for Ella, which offers panoramic views of tea plantations, waterfalls, reservoirs, and an endless number of tunnels.
Day 10
Travel to Yala and enjoy a Jeep Safari at the Yala National Park which has been the most visited park for tourists in recent years. Witness the wild free-ranging Asian elephants and Sri Lankan leopards.
Day 11, 12, & 13
Take an early morning tour of the magnificent Dutch Fort in Galle which is regarded as the best preserved colonial fortress in Asia. This is also home to the oldest breadfruit tree on the island. Enjoy the opportunity to have a closer look at the wetland ecosystem by taking a Madhu River Boat ride. Visit the turtle hatchery are part of a conservation effort to save the young turtles that are in danger of going extinct. Take a stroll along the sandy Galle beach and make memories with your loved ones. Enjoy a fascinating day of water sports in the Bentota River on your final day in Galle.
Day 14
Hold onto the memories you've created, and you'll be transferred back. En route, stop at Colombo, where you engage in a city tour if you have time.
