Itinerary
Day 01
Transfer to your accommodation in Negombo, where you can relax with your family. Set off on a city tour that takes you to the gorgeous beaches.
Day 02
For the most colourful church architecture, start your morning by exploring Negombo, famously known as ‘Little Rome’ in Sri Lanka. Depart to Anuradhapura and spend the evening cycling around the city that has been around for the longest time. Visit the sacred Bo tree, the oldest of this nation, and the incredible Jetavanarama Stupa, one of the historical temples.
Day 03
Enjoy the Lake view early morning when you wake up in the city of Anuradhapura. Ride a bicycle through the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, a city that reflects the regal past of this island. Proceed to Dambulla city and explore the UNESCO-designated Gold Cave temples, which have ancient walls dating back 2000 years.
Day 04
Early morning, venture on a trek to the Sigiriya Rock, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. The famously large lion paws guard the stairs leading to the summit, which was once home to the monarch's palace. Next, proceed eastward to explore the remnants of the former Polonnaruwa kingdom. Head to your accommodation in Kandy and experience a city tour including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Day 05
Explore Kandy overflowing with the ‘Udarata’ tradition. Next, enjoy a beautiful hike through tea plantations and forests in the Knuckles Range! This challenging hike highlights local wildlife and a variety of plant life. You can also take a detour to a waterfall. A journey that is unmissable for those who enjoy the great outdoors and solitude.
Day 06
Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of countless verdant tea fields as you drive to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's hill region located at 1800m above sea level. En route, make a stop to see the magnificent Ramboda Falls and visit a tea manufacturing facility. Enjoy tea picking with traditional tea pluckers dressed in colourful sarees. Factory sparkling tea can be purchased from the manufacturing plant outlet. Later in the evening, take a city tour whilst enjoying the cold weather.
Day 07
As you wake up in this city take in the breathtaking scenery of the misty clouds. Venture for a hike up the Hortain Plains, an eco-destination featuring Worlds End. This is among the most breathtaking treks you could find on the island. If you are lucky, you will see deer grazing in the long grass early morning. Undoubtedly, this morning hike will make you feel as though you have entered a different country.
Day 08
On this day, you will take one of the stunning train excursions from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. During this ride, you will take in the breathtaking surroundings, including the Ravana waterfalls, whilst capturing them with your lenses. Later in the afternoon, travel to Udawalawe, where you may stay overnight.
Day 09
Set off early in the morning, for a thrilling jeep safari through Udawalawe National Park. A wide variety of endemic and migrant birds can be seen here, in addition to crocodiles, sambar deer, leopards, wild boar, and elephants. Next, proceed to Sinharaja to spend the night.
Day 10
After breakfast explore the Sinharaja Rain Forest with a naturalist. Choose between the 03-hour trek and the 02-hour waterfall trail. Along with endemic bird species, this trek will allow you to observe wildlife.
Day 11
Take a walk down the cobbled alleys this morning to soak up the colonial magnificence of the majestic Dutch Fort of Galle, which is regarded as Asia's best-preserved colonial sea fort. You will also witness the island's oldest breadfruit tree inside the Fort.
Day 12, 13
Later, depart for your exciting beach vacation in this coastal city. Relax, unwind, and tan whilst enjoying your free time in the Indian Ocean.
Day 14
Hold onto the memories you've created, and you'll be transferred back.
